If your like me i LOVE the feeling of my nails being done. I'm lazy and i hate having horrible chipped nails. I always used to go down to my local salon pay to get my nails done and at first i loved it. It was nice walking out with freshly painted nails and i loved the fact i would not have to worry about them for 2 weeks. Then after a while it bored me. I hated the waiting around but i just couldn't return back to nail varnish how ever many times i tried to. Ive dabbled in acrylic and hated the way it left the state of my nails. So i always stick to gel, Gelux and shellac being my most familiar. I'm lucky i have naturally long nails so i didn't need extensions just something to make them look tidy.

I was wondering around Tesco one day and my local one has a fairly big beauty department when i came across Sensationail. I was really intrigued and it looked amazing however it had a £65.00 price tag and i wasn't sure. However after talking to the sales girl she convinced me and to this day i haven't looked back. ITS AMAZING.

Sensationail is an at home gel polish system. It claims that the result is a High gloss, damage proof manicure with a mirror finish, with no chipping, lifting or cracking for up to 14 days and is easily removed in minutes. With salon finished results. Which i must add is accurate when you take your time and apply it properly. The starter kit contains PRO 3060 LED Lamp, Colour gel polish, Gel Primer, Buffer, Gel cleanser, Lint free wipes, Gel base and top coat and manicure stick. The price of this ranges from £60-£69.99 depending on where you purchase your kit. Then you can purchase the refill kit every time you are low. You can also buy the Removal kit and tools separately however i haven't tried this as i find i can get them off find using different products.

The kit comes with everything you need to get started. Then every time you fancy a change you can buy additional colours for around £10.00. Cheaper than going to the salon and you get to keep the colour. I find this is good when it nearing pay day and cant afford to by a new colour so i can just use a colour i already own. I find there colour range is amazing ranging from brights, shimmers and glitters. Something for everyone and I'm glad to see their colour range has grown since i first purchased my kit.

My first impressions of the kit and my first use i found it a bit fiddly and after a couple of days the nail varnish began to peel and i was so disappointed! However after giving it another go each time i found it easier and now i will never look back. Once you get your own routine you will find it a breeze and its so much less effort than sitting in a salon and waiting around. It takes me around half hour and now I'm so in to doing my nails i add designs and diamante's and all sorts. Something i would never have done before as i despised doing my nails. Also with this is you remove the Gel correctly there will be no damage to your nails underneath. However if you bite them off like i do sometime them expect there to be some self inflicted soreness (however it cant be that bad as i NEVER learn).

So i thought i would write a review on a product that i have been absolutely loving this month. And that is the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder. When i think of Bourjois i think of the tiny blusher pots which used to be such a novelty when i was a teenager and i have to be honest i always over look the brand as a whole when i go make up shopping. Well when i went recently i actually have found new staples to my collection that i am really loving which i will post about shortly. Ive always had a few favourites that i re purchase but never normally opting for their face products this was a truly pleasant surprise.

Today i will be reviewing the MAYBELLINE Fit me anti-shine stick. I purchased this product from TESCO for £9.00 and i have the shade 120 Classic Ivory. This foundation is marketed as a gel foundation stick with an anti-shine core that contains lightweight powders.

My thoughts

Now i must get it out there that i am so disappointed with this foundation. My skin type is normal/combination with acne scaring. I purchased this foundation in the hope of a quick skin brightener which i could apply on my minimal make up days. I was not to fussed about amazing coverage just a nice finish which kept me looking half decent through out the day. Well i got the complete opposite.



I find this foundation hard to apply and blend being very drying and clingy to any small dry patches. Which isnt much of a problem considering it is obviously targeted to oily skins due to the 'Anti shine' claim. Well i do not even have an oil face and this had slid down my face in around an hour with my whole face of making just moving around my face with it.. Eye make up included. Maybe i shouldn't have worn this to work for the first time i had used it. People including customers (CRINGE) kept telling me i had black smudged across my eyes and yes this was my eyeliner which normally stays nicely in place until i take my make up off at night. I never normally powder my face however on this occasion i decided to and that made no difference. I come home to work looking like a grease ball with no make up on and black eyes LOVELY!!!

Now since then i have tried and tested this foundation in many other ways and i can find no use for it. it just looks oily however i apply it and however i try to wear it. Im not impressed to say the least, what a waste of money. What annoys me is this product could be amazing because its a very good concept which made me want to try it in the first place.

Availability/Price

Ive seen this foundation in most stores so they are pretty easy to find. However i do find the shade range is not very good, and some colours being non existent in smaller stores. So if your after this foundation i would recommend a larger boots/superdrug to see the full range of colours.

The price is around £9.00. However you can normally find this in offers like 3 for 2 if you shop around. I do however find that this runs out quite quickly i have only experimented with this foundation on a couple of occasions and have already found that i have used around half of the product. So not amazing for the £9 spent as i find other foundations last a lot longer and this takes a lot of product to fully cover your face. 

Would i re-purchase? 
Definitely not.

Sorry for this very negative review however this has been something that has really irritated me lately.

Im always one to jump on the band wagon of hyped up products and naturally La Roche Posay Effaclar duo was right at the top of the products i needed to buy. When i went to buy it from boots they had a 2 for £15 sale on the Effaclar range which i blogged about HERE (a while back). Instead of purchasing 2 duo's when i didnt know how much i would like them i thought for the extra £2 i will branch out and try a different product which happened to be the moisturiser.

This was a good decision as straight away i fell in love with the Effaclar Mat and i am now on my third tube. Below i will list some information about the product and why this is now my everyday moisturiser.
